Monday: 3:30-5:00 p.m. (Level 1/2)

Wednesday: 3:30-5:00 p.m. (Level 1/2)

Thursdays: 1:30-3:00 p.m. (All, emphasis 3/4)

$60 for program members

Meet your Coach: Jana Mentzer

Jana comes to Mason City YMCA with experience and passion for Rock Steady Boxing and what it can do to improve quality of life for those with Parkinson’s Disease. She grew up with Parkinson’s in the house, as her mom was diagnosed at 36 yrs old. At that time, there were limited options or guidance from doctors on the benefits of exercise programs for PD. Thankfully much has changed in the past 30 years! Doctors now urge people with PD to add an exercise program to maintain & increase strength, balance and cognitive capability. She has volunteered and coached in St. Louis, is a certified Rock Steady Boxing Coach and is certified by APDA’s PD Awareness Training for Fitness Professionals. She is thrilled to partner with the Mason City Family YMCA to bring this program to North Iowa!
