Adult Programs

There is nothing like great music, a great instructor and an even greater group of people to get you motivated and make exercising fun! The Y offers a wide variety of classes from beginner to advanced, old-school to new-age, soothing to energizing, etc. We are happy to help you select one that meets your needs, schedule and mood. Group exercise programs are available for free (or for a reduced cost) for all YMCA members!

At the Y, we believe in having as many Group Exercise options as possible. Please check our schedule monthly as we add new classes to our schedule.


Why Should I Register? Our TOP THREE Reasons!

From Kettlebell to Cycling, Tabata to Totally Toned, all land aerobics classes are now FREE with your membership.

However, it is still best to register for your favorite class for a few very important reasons :

1. Grab your spot!  By registering for the class, you guarantee that you have a spot in your favorite class.  Those who are not registered will be bumped from a class if the class becomes full.

2. Stay in touch!  Especially during this time of year, being registered is our only way to contact you regarding class changes due to inclement weather.  However, year-round these rosters of registered participants are helpful so the Y can contact you if your instructor is sick or if there is an interruption to your class in any way.  Those who are not registered are not acknowledged as members of the class, and cannot be contacted with changes or updates.

3. And now, registration is EASIER THAN EVER!  Online registration is available from our website, www.masoncityymca.org.  Simply click the “Online Registration” button at the top of the homepage to get started.  All we need is your email address and birth date in our membership database to register for classes.

Also—you can always register for a class at the front desk!  In only a minute or two, you will be on your way!
